oh, WHATEVER!! Heh, I haven't been on this board for a while, wow this was a long thread to read... For me it's not so much the camera as it is the easy access to my albums via the ARTWORK! (see samples below). And in case no one ever saw my review / pictorial of the DH10P. I love this unit. But now Amazon is asking for $224.95... what's with Amazon's prices changing like the STOCK MARKET anyway?!! I also think it's interesting no one has said much about the SILVER color... oh how I WISH they'd sell the BLACK one at these low prices (unlike AudioCubes'$500.00 price tag!)

By the way, can I upgrade my XP to Spack 2 and expect SS To work right, or do I need to RE-install SS after I do the SPack update? Thanks

Hmmm... actually I believe I recently formatted my drive & reinstalled XP... and did NOT get the Service Pack 2. Does 3.4 require that?

I'll check when I get home, any option to look at is worth looking at, though if it is a fresh install, I doubt that would be a default setting.

I don't know what happened, somewhere in the install of version 3.4 perhaps, but I first noticed it when I had downloaded from my MD some audio recordings I did w/ a mic. The tracks then existed in SS, I could even burn a CD with them and they would play fine, but Sonic Stage itself would NOT play them (Play button shaded)... I double-click the track to play, it lights up, but nothing happens. Yet I can trigger my attached MD player via sonic stage to play tracks off of the disc. Meanwhile, I just discovered that I can't even SAMPLE music in Sony Connect... I hit a 'sample' speaker button and nothing happens. Meanwhile, I can browse Sony Connect with my Internet Explorer browser, and sample songs at Connect with the Sony pop-up player. So, I completely uninstalled SS, deleted the original folder/data, rebooted, then reinstalled via the Sony on line installation (after doing the entire process with the 3.4 stand alone and had the same problem), and still have the same issue. Any ideas?? Thanks.

Ok, let's do $50 per sticker... I should get some black DH10Ps soon at that rate. And it's not my fault Sony puts their logo upside down on their MDs.

Tell me about it, man! I wanted black to begin with, but I think you know the story behind THAT. I don't know, $1,100.00 for two black DH10Ps, or $460.00 for two silvers... lemme think...

If I haven't made it clear before, I will state it again; I have NO desire for the RH1. Here are my reasons: - remote dependent - no track titles on display - odd shape (I don't like joystick-like knobs, plus it's a rectangle not a square) - I own DH10P... with that killer display any unit would be a step BACKWARDS

What is random, my post or your question? At any rate, two of the NH900s are in bad shape (one silver one is just beat up pretty badly and acts qwirky at times, one black one has the infamous 'button glitch'). I bought an extra DH10P because I found such a great price and I wanted to have a spare for years down the road when you can't find any new DH10P anywhere, and it is such an exceptional unit. Why am I explaining myself? How about because I want two of each?!!

I have been known to say that the RH10 is the best sounding MD unit I've heard, even up against the Digital Amp devices I've owned... that said, I think headphones may be an issue. I use Sharp MD33s. Lotsa bass, and crisp highs. Anyway, best of luck to ya.

Doesn't £30 equal to about $45 USD? If so, that's how much the Shure's cost (audiocubes MD33s $39.99) Trust me when I say this; these headphones are the absolute BEST for the price - they sound incredible!! Quite a nice compliment to the NH900 (and silver even!)

I can completely understand your frustration (being a lover of high volume level music myself), but my problem with this issue was solved when I bought canalphones, instead of standard, regular heaphones. I have the Pole 4 SHARP MD33s, and between cancelling out ambient sound, and being closer to the drum, it boosts the output almost 2X.

Why, oh why, do people not allow you to purchase from overseas WHEN YOU PAY FOR THE SHIPPING COSTS?!! I've never understood that.

The NH900 CAN run off of USB power without batteries. I'm not sure what you mean by "usb flexible lights" but based on what you said it sounds like there's such a thing as mobile (blue tooth) usb? Keep in mind, if you don't have an NH900 you will be surprised by the battery life (with regular playback, not recording). Very long life.

Please post your question about cameras in general in another thread and keep this one more about the DH10P, thanks. And no reasons for apologizing about saying you folks don't need a camera in an MD player or just want the album art screen - I totally understand, and would like that myself. Give me an NH900 with the DH10P screen any day.

Only if I find a BLACK one for around the same price ($230). Otherwise, NO I certainly have no need for another. However I may make a special posting when I get my 2nd black NH900, because then I'll have 2 silver NH900s, 2 black NH900s, and 2 silver DH10Ps. Oh, the insanity. I'm very careful with protectors (how I put them on) however, they STILL don't last long because there's always a weak link in the chain (that being a snagged corner that starts to PEEL).
