  1. I have two offers for anyone who will give up their MZ-EH1 (black preferred, silver negotiable). The EH1 must be in VG+ to NM condition and have at least the charge cradle & power cord. OFFER 1: $350 USD (175 Pounds) - I use Paypal. OFFER 2: My BLUE NH3D (rare) in NM Condition, boxed with all accessories plus an additional $100 USD. Am I Crazy? Of course. PM me please if considering...
  2. Can you please provide the links? Maybe we can work on this together...
  3. So are you actually IN China or do you mean ON LINE shops??
  4. You need to define what you mean by "dead." In my opinion, and living in the USA, minidisc was never ALIVE to begin with. Its a format that never "took off" really. So as far as what's popular, of course it is dead. If you mean any new units/accessories available, then MD died a couple years ago. But as others have already mentioned, MD is alive as long as YOU use it. I've stockpiled many units and discs and plan to use MD for many years to come. And yes, there is still plenty on Ebay. Because of the scarcity of HiMD, I've decided to make all my discs now in LP2 format, which opens doors for many more units that I can get and use. I refuse to go SP due to extreme limited capacity, and LP2 happens to be the same bitrate as the 132k that I used with HiMD anyway. Stock up on batteries, units and discs and you can still be using MD for the next 15 years easily. Oh, and keep an old laptop or PC around with Sonic Stage... I figure that's not going to work with the next Windows version after Vista, but you never know since there may be hackers helping us out in the end
  5. I believe this may be the very same disc once it was in MY hands and I added artwork to it
  6. Which one of those links can I actually order from using Paypal or Credit Card if I live in the USA?? I can't even get past all the Japanese characters to even figure out HOW. Same with that YODOBASHI site mentioned in your other thread.
  7. Have you tried Ebay? I have some, by the way, but I always throw away those annoying over-sized cases... but if you wish to buy some from me or want to trade the new kind for them or even some standards let me know.
  8. I'm curious if anyone else had caught the HiMD bug, then went back to standard. I still consider myself an MD noob, since I only started using minidisc in 2004, and my beginnings were with HiMD (the NH900 being my first unit). Over the years I have acquired many HiMD players/recorders but I've always enjoyed LESS capacity actually (the "less is more" phenomenon) that the standard 74min/80min MDs offer. For one, there are obviously countless cool styles of discs out there, but for another, I like to make my own cool labels, etc. Since I use a pretty low bitrate for my music (132k or LP2) I can fit around 16 CDs on one HiMD (1GB) disc, which is quite overwelming... especially since I typically don't like to fiddle with remotes, so for players without an LCD finding specific music is quite a chore. So now with HiMD units becoming more and more difficult to find, I have turned to MDLP players, which are quite prevalent on Ebay. I've enjoyed making LP2 discs which fit 2 to 3 CDs which is just fine for me. Has anyone else taken such a turn? Or maybe you at least use HiMD players but use mostly standard discs?
  9. Thanks Kardon for the instant payment and great lines of communication! Enjoy your NH3D
  10. Oh SHUSH, you! Why do you have to spoil the fun?! Yes, you're right, but let us live our fantasies in PEACE! Besides, some of us are STOCK PILING enough MD to last a lifetime anyway
  11. Yeah, can we somehow make Mikami's post a STICKY? Those words are golden.
  12. Mikami I love your thought process and it makes me feel even more secure & happy about sticking with MD. Not that I NEEDED any security, but it's always nice to have, or to at least hope for
  13. Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but does this unit have a PLASTIC or METAL body? Thanks.
  14. * PRICE BREAK * and bump. Now selling this unit for $250 total, SHIPPED ANYWHERE and 3 bonus sealed HiMD discs.

    MZ-E10

It is common practice here to have ones unit inventory in their signature. Not really showing off or flaunting... besides, doomlordis has the BEST CONDITION E10 Mine are decent, but not mint.
  16. ** SOLD ** bFor the need of money I have to part with this BOXED, silver NH3D. I bought this straight from Japan just months ago as a backup boxed shelf unit. It comes with original box and ALL accessories (cradle, power cord, battery, 40ELK remote, etc) - everything like new. Photos below are of the actual unit and it has been boxed since I took the photos. Asking $275 SHIPPED in the USA ($15 more if outside of the US). I will grant this in order of PMs I receive. As you know this is a Japan-only rare unit, so don't miss out for this all-metal, essential HiMD unit.

In the words of The Blue Raja... I never denied that I was jealous, but you're still showing off
  18. I also just did a plastic set of the same series, but this time in SP mode for my brother since he has an SP-only car deck. Once again I was fortunate to find another unique casing method.
  19. Thanks - actually I had no intent on converting anyone to the music, but if you want samples that original link has none. This 'best of' collection of the serie on Amazon should help. Basic Channel Compilation Be sure to keep an open mind... some have said it sounds like you're just running the dish washer
  20. There is a popular (underground) minimal techno collection called Basic Channel that has a series on vinyl, but their CDs come in these unique METAL BOX casings. Well I managed to fit the collection on two standard MDs in LP2, and thanks to bland10000 and his hooking me up with these very unique metal tin MD cases, I was able to put make a special immortal set in these cases, and the music is on the heaviest MDs around; the TDK Pro series.
  21. ... you mean to tell me that you nabbed that player just after we told Psdiao about it, in his very OWN THREAD quest for an E10??!! How rude. Well anyway gl with it. The Panasonic is fine, it was for my son.
  22. I think sound quality is for earlier generations. Todays' youth will do a windows recorder rip of a Youtube video, compress it to mp3 and put it on their player and they are happy. I grew up at a time when we had STEREOS. The bigger, the better, and when technology kept pushing the envelope of HIFI. Hence I have a certain expectation. So basically, if you're old, you'll care
