I'm at 64, (When I use my Hi-MD player). I mainly use my iAudio U2 now at mp3 vbr q6, I mainly use for traveling so anything too high is a waste of power and space.. lol

Arn't there more linux users than mac users now, or something like that?

Viewfinder is nothing to worry about, Mine is out of aline with the pictures! I admit, that camera looks pritty neat...

thanks, I have never come across the 'atm' thing b4... (the 'btw' thing comes up alot on the web lol) Some people need better things to do than to attempt to get into my computer what are they going to get out of a newly formated computer anyway!

ATM, whats that? anti-malware? As for shareing I wasent even online on messenger (No p2p programs installed)! But I am on a 3 way network and who knows what there on. I use ZoneAlarm Free (Firewall) AVG Free & Spybot, Really I dunno - as long as ZoneAlarm Keeps Blocking them I'm happy

Theres quite a high change that the differences here, (In the same bitrate) are going to be indistinguishable anyway... Don't worry about it...

Ahh it was 2GB (FAT formating) lol still the same problems 5GB requires new hardware, I think thats final whatever the case! lol

Dare I say, I had to format today - again! I don't really know the reasons, But I do know that I've been getting alot of blocked hacing attempts to my computer today...

I think its hardware too, Maby it would be possable with a firmware update, I bet if it was it would push the hardware more than they were designed for and I bet the power life would be reduced to quite a major loss... (If all Hi-MD players are compatable with firware updates in the first place)

Theoretically, maby it is, but not with the current tecnology of Hi-MD (Mainy Hi-MD only supporting FAT file systems that is limited to 1GB)

Just for clarification all recordings done with a Hi-MD player in Hi-MD mode can be uploaded to your computer. NetMD mode cant be uploaded without a "MZ-RH1"

Try http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=9586 Thats the latest in NetMD software.. whatever you do you have to use there software with minidisc. And you cant upload recodrings made in with a NetMD disc ever (Unless you invest in a "MZ-RH1" a Hi-MD plater)

Why can't sony just do a basic one from the first gen Hi-MD players (and the none mac ones) With just Hi-LP, PCM and Hi-SP for them, it would dig people out of sticky situations with a mac... (upload & download) It is posable as long as the hi-md player shows up as a drive in a mac..

I've used ubuntu - apparently its the easyers linux to install! I would recomend ubuntu..

That remends me of my dad... He has a external HDD - he does some wedding photos (official) - hes using digital so he always backs up on 2 DVDrw and on his HDD. I can't blame you (& him) for dooin stuff like that. The amount of times I've lost data due to errors (Most of what is Windoes Fault - I only use windows cos' linux runs too slow on my slow laptop! ) My CD collection is in low-bitrate ogg & atrac3plus cos HDD space! But hey! I'm stuck with windows and small harddrves till I get a none-laptop (not in the close future) lol

500GB - I currently only have 40GB on my laptop... I so need more space.
