the Sony Furby for the PCM-D50 fits the Tascam quite nicely , I have used it with a sock over it as well for windy situations . That was covered in an early post of this thread .

Hey Ptram are you on a Mac or Windows , if your on Mac I can send you a prog , that I think you will like . But yeah as Greenmachine says The Speakers are coloring a ittle I can see it in the graph , you will notice the sharp drop at 20 KHz , that if it where Up a few decibels is what I hear in my DR1 , the highs are smooth , with a little crisp in them , The Zoom had a definite High freq problem , I could hear them just being wacked off to conserve white noise Not the DR1 , ...... but I appreciate you efforts , that is cool that you did that . I just hope you on a Mac , if so PM me with your email I will send you something.

What kind of Speakers , Two way , Three way , at only 25 cm , you are not going to hear a proper spread it will be all low freqs and no highs ( just exactly what your graph shows . also the Audio quality of Audacity isnt that great , I have Audacity , and Bias Peak Pro , ...... You can REALLLLLLY hear the difference Try it at 1 meter , 2 meters , and 5 meters ( if you have the room ) , and look at the graphs of each , and you will see the difference . Something called "Proximity Effect " will become visible to you . Something that the DR1 does suffer from is Proximity Effect. The closer to a sound source , the frequency shift becomes obvious. But at 1 meter , and 2 meters , you should see the 18 khz region still showing strong

I know this is an Old post , but ,............ I decided to search her name , Geez , What an absolutely stunning woman . She has a Great voice , and is incredibly beautiful . I hate that the world is so disparate that we never get to see artists like this who are hidden from us by whatever Political , Corporate , Media controlled Barriers http://www.vondrau.com/introduction.html The offending person in this post was truly a Cad ............ She needs a good song writer , something that would fit her persona , I have listened to samples on iTunes , and at CD Baby She just needs some really good songs , and that would be that . Update I have had a couple conversation with her , and she has backed off of the music scene , and is doing something a little different now . But her health has returned and she is doing good.

I have held both the EH50 , and the EH70 ...... I thought the 50 's buttons werent well arranged , and smallish ..... and the Plastiky feel of it didnt do it any favours. The 70 felt much nicer , and the larger buttons , and layout was kind of cool , but to me the EH930 is much better looking than those , the 70 might sound better though , the 930 when I listened to it the headphone out was a little weaker than my other HiMD's and a HOT recording (Levels close to peaking ) on another machine , brings a little distortion in the 930 . I have been looking at the 70 myself .

And there lies the crux , sorry to hear it isnt working , At least withe Tiger , I have the option of installing Classic as well ( both Panther and Tiger allow this ) so the I can have OS9 sitting in the machine , to run older apps . does Leopard do this ?? If you can Have Tiger on the machine as well , in a separate install like OS9 will . Just a curious thought , If I could do that , then I would probably get leopard . I am just to used to Tiger now.

you can see the high freq dropoff of the Zoom in the diagram , follow the 0 db line across , and look between the 10 k - 20 k region , that at about 15khz it drops almost 10 db , this is in agreement with what I heard from my H2 . The Tascam mics are MUCH broader and crispy ,the 18khz region is EASILY heard , I think the upper limit is about 19khz on the DR1 ZOOM freqs http://www.tascam.de/en/docs/DR-1_Flyer_EN.pdf

On my RH1 , using Yamaha Rh5ma headphones , I have to turn the bass down a bit . Dream Theater, and Symphony X are heavy enough without ADDINg to them

I was in Monterey California , Teaching Guitar , to a Rep at a Tiny Sony outlet on Lighthouse ave. ( I think it is still there , ) Owned by an Older Japanese couple , and I think he worked directly for Sony , in Japan , I was there when the first MD came to the US , it was two months before any other retail outlet had it , I got recorded on it . I now live in Japan , so if you plan on coming this way , Talk to me , and bring some discs , I have a Large collection myself .... and still growing !~!!!! you sound like I did with Tapes , I was always making and trading Tapes , The "Kingbiscuit Flour Hour " or the 7 Sunday , Seven full LP's back to Back , recorded from FM when Radio was Radio . nice to meet you .
