jaylen
IS there anyway we can stop getting those spam messeges in the 'offtopic'?One of those topics almost made me sic!Spam is one thing but 'Rape movies' Even just the Idea of that is sicening! Anychance of prevention?~ DannyI think that's going to be a little difficult. One thing that you can do as an individual to spare yourself from seeing things like that is to click on the poster's username prior to reading the post - if they are a first-time poster, then it is likely it's spam. Plus, most of the titles of the spam posts usually look very odd and have misspelled words. Just exercising a little common sense and precaution should be effective/helpful enough as the Mods/Admins are busy enough as it is protecting the forum from "real" threats. The Low Volta
I actually enjoy reading your comments that much, atrain, I already start to chuckle when I see another one of those dimwit, nogood, irritating boneheads pop up... still, would be nice if they would just all die or at least find another 'hobby'

bland10000
The refresh is quite long now. Perhaps refresh is not the right word for it. When I check the boards at midnight, the same threads are listed as new 12 hours later though no one has posted to them.
atrain
do you click on mark all threads as read?otherwise if it's a poll a new vote bumps it even if there's no post.
bland10000
It isn't just poll threads, it is all threads. I have started to click on "mark all threads read"; just never had to before.
Stuge
THere are some changes going on in the forum .for eg Latest news is now Highlighted (Nice ) ..Hey Chris, Are You planning to add new skins ?? Edited June 8, 2006 by stuge
Christopher
Unfortunately, the skin designer whom I usually go with is not ready yet. I am looking into alternatives.I did change up the front index a little bit to improve the experience for the novice by adding an enhanced news display and search at the top. Avrin
What happened? I cannot start a new thread or edit a previous message. The forum displays the following error:IPB WARNING [2] load_language(/usr/home/forums/public_html/cache/lang_cache/en/lang_editors.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory (Line: 1691 of /sources/ipsclass.php)Already cleaned Cookies and Temporary Internet Files on my computer. Christopher
I should have done this a long time ago. It benefits the both of us, as the groups that I've excluded from seeing ads usually don't click on them anyways (which means a higher clickthrough ratio for the ads = alot more $) and you guys don't see ads. Beautiful. Also, the ad placement at the top of the forum that is hidden for the aforementioned groups has proven itself much more successful in other areas (downloads, lofi section of the forum) so there should be a substancial boost in montly ad revenue. If things are successful enough, the additional money could be used for contests, etc.
