You will want to check craigslist. Usually, people who own an MZ-RH1, will know how much they sell for and will not sell them cheap. But for some reason, I've found on craigslist that people will sell them cheaper than ebay, because they just don't know how valuable it is and they just want to get rid of it. I saw 2 listings here in California for an MZ-RH1, they were only asking for $120-$150 for them with accessories.

I'm not sure where you are located, but here is one on craigslist in New Jersey: http://newjersey.craigslist.org/ele/4395624121.html

I would really put all of this on ebay and sell only to U.S. buyers with U.S. paypal accounts. Honestly, I don't want anyone taking advantage of your situation. Do not accept any offer below $200 plus shipping. Some people on here already own multiple MiniDisc players.

Check ebay. you'll need the RM-MC38EL remote or similar. Unfortunately, they are pricey because they are hard to find and most people will not give them up easily.

Just bought an MZ-E900 that won't play (seek problem?)

Escalate the case with Ebay. If you attempt to fix this, it will void your case with Ebay. -

You should contact the seller about the issue and see if he knows, since he said it was functional. -
When buying an MZ-RH1, you want to buy from someone that really doesn't know much about MiniDisc recorders. Everyone else will simply charge you ebay prices (or whatever the market value is). For instance, i saw an ad in craigslist a few months ago for an MZ-RH1 with all the necessary accessories and the guy was only charging $125 USD. I would have bought it, but someone else got to him before I did.

Looking for Celine Dion "A New Day Has Come" 2002 MiniDisc
Sony_Fan replied to a topic in Minidisc Trades
Sorry, this MiniDisc is really rare. I have not seen a copy on ebay in the longest. The truth is, if you do a CD->MD digital copy, the sound quality will be about the same, assuming you use ATRAC SP Type-R. -
The MZ-DN430 is a download unit only. You would need a Type-R portable with optical input and compare to a non Type-R home deck.
-
Well, that's assuming that both the portable and deck recorders have the same ATRAC version. A Type-R portable from 2003 will record far better than a non Type-R deck from the 90s.
-
And I'm also assuming that a Type-S home deck will record better than a Type-S portable recorder.
-
So to be sure, a Type-R home deck will record better than a Type-R portable recorder? Or are they the same?

Sony rh1 as new with lots of accessories, make me an offer

That's good you sold it. What is Minidisc access? -
Anything with MegaBass is great! Or one that has the BASS and TREBLE settings.

Does uploading wear out the recording head?
Sony_Fan replied to PsychoPimpKiller's topic in Technical, Tips, and Tricks
No, like someone else mentioned, the pick up lens is all that is used to retrieve the information on the disc. The writing head is not used at all. My understanding, is that the small component that actually does the writing to the disc, never touches the disc. If you open the shutter and look at the writing side of the disc, there will be no scratches or wear marks. -
That's a good deal. Now go listed on ebay for $40.

can we transfer true sp without Sonic Stage on net md yet?
Sony_Fan replied to THIS SUCKS's topic in Minidisc
You can only get true SP from realtime digital recordings to your MD recorder. Any type of ripping a CD to SP mode, will not be "true" SP. Even the CD/MD combo decks when copied at 4x, do not produce the same quality as realtime recording. Besides, there are different types of ATRAC SP (version 3, 4.5 and Type-R). -
I can vouch for Tom. He sold me an MZ-NF610 NetMD recorder and it still works great! Good luck with the sale.
-
Sure no problem. By the way, I sold 3 used 1GB Hi-MDs on ebay and the auction went up to $60 plus $3 for shipping. But I only sell to United States buyers. Hopefull you can get more.
-
That's actually a good price and is less than ebay prices. But it may not be low enough for this forum. One other guy on this forum is selling over 20 1GB Hi-MD discs and the only offer he got was $100 for all of them. That will give you and idea of what people are willing to pay for here. If I were you I would put it on ebay and maybe sell 2 or 3 at a time.

Sony_Fan replied to cool-runnin's topic in Classifieds
you should list this on ebay. It may not sell on this forum unless your price is considerably less than ebay prices. -
No pictures? Is this a legit sale?
-
Why D/A converter? couldn't you use the optical digital outputs?
-
Can you post pictures of what you have? Thanks.
