Sorry I took so long to reply; been working on the site alot lately. Anyway, do you prefer a non-MDLP/NetMD unit? It seems like you favor the old school toughness of units from long ago compared to the seemingly fragile construction of today's models. I think I have what you want in mind..
-
I'm keen on them, actually.
-
I agree. I'm definitely keeping it.

This new theme is under construction, but good enough to go live. I alleviate a bit on it here: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=5659

Works for me.

I'm not sure, Scott. It stands out and really defines the header, but at the same time I wonder what that logo would look like in that color. Would it be easy to colorize it accordingly? I tried and failed miserably.

Lowend, I've merged your topic with Scott's. He's the creator of this theme and a good friend. He makes templates and such for phpbb amongst other things. He's helped alot.

Thanks. There's still alot I need to put in, so don't judge it quite yet. It should look pretty damn slick after I'm through, though. I had been planning to digress from our old template for a little while, but a suitable replacement had not shown itself until now. This is probably one of the first live demos of this template - it's that new. Keep your eye on it throughout the day!

Yes, and also the various inaccuracies within the display. Perhaps it can help others who will see this diagnosis the issue better.

You're brilliant. Great first post. Here's a *.pdf I found: http://hraunfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_public/atta...DA-04-715A1.pdf So, what're we talking about here? I'm envisioning a device that will accept Hi-MD media [whether it be a static orifice on the device or an attachment], and then you can take the media and insert it into a portable device and enjoy your favorite programmes or video. Or it could just be for the recording industry; I doubt that, though. p.s. Karma point for you!

Welcome, billy. Is there any way you could take a picture of this?

Have a Hi-MD question that doesn't need a thread? [part III]
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in Minidisc
Welcome, jpopking. Sonicstage 2.# from connect.com will include the drivers necessary to have functionality with your unit. Enjoy. What Hi-MD unit are you going to get? -
http://www.theelectrasrockandrollband.com/  They're not that bad for the era, methinks. I don't know if I'd buy it, but it's interesting nonetheless.

Plenty of suggestions, but first I need his maximum budget.

oh the joys of little sisters
Christopher replied to liljoeyjordison's topic in Technical, Tips, and Tricks
It's Badtz. He's my favorite! I even have a shirt with him on it; this is a pretty old pic but here ya go: [ed note: sigh, I miss my old room; damn fire] Hee. -
Welcome, Abouna. Have you even listened to this unit and/or tried recording with it? If not, I find it hard to believe two blokes got rid of a unit without even listening or recording with it.
-
Eek! Why are you still using Sonicstage 1.5? Didn't you notice that thread at the top of this forum asking if you do use it to read it first? Please read this: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=5481 [gives you a download link to Sonicstage 2, which has no check in/out limits amongst other things] Jadeclaw and RichM are still on the money though, that's the only way you can upload with this unit. There are a few threads covering this in the Live Recording forum, as well.

Disassembling a MD to play in CD Rom
Christopher replied to ZeusRex's topic in Technical, Tips, and Tricks
Absolutely impossible, as it's an optical medium [that uses a different wavelength, etc etc] that is unreadable by convential CD players. -
If all else fails you may want to uninstall the software via the directions in the NetMD faq. After that, you can try installing a fresh copy of Sonicstage from Connect, or your cd.

Thanks for the info, Jammin. Please keep us informed if and when possible. Have you had a chance to play with the NH1 yet? If so, your impressions?
-
I'd go for the NH1 [actually, I'd do the NH900] over the NH700 - I imagine the functionality is just about superior in every way, considering build quality, stiffness of the NH700's on-unit rotary dial and other things. The remote for the unit isn't even a LCD one amongst other things. *shrug*
-
Thanks for the tip, borsuk, and welcome! p.s. Karma point for you.
-
*slaps self* :wacky:
-
Which is nothing new; right on schedule. Now, next? The NH900, and finally the wait is almost over. Thanks for the info, Low.

Thanks - I value your kind words.
