Format's demise leads to Australia facing massive Minidisc liquidation.
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in News
I like that little case, might have to get one of those.. -
Hi-MD for me as well -- international trade is fine.

We're going to try something new this year -- one mass trading event with others in the community before Christmas. The only requirement is that you're a member of the forums; registration is free and takes under a minute. Click for more.+++ Registration is over, thank you for your interest! Come one come all and join the Minidisc Community MD trade! Participants are invited to partake in the greatest MD trade that has ever taken place on the boards. Here are some details: - We will divide you between HiMD (preferably Hi-SP), or regular SP mode on MD if you don't have a Hi-MD unit (please specify). - We'll randomly select someone for you to trade with (or you can specify someone in your country to save on shipping). So, you'll make a track list, put it on your MD and send it to your assigned partner -- a week or so later, a random Minidisc with fresh tunes on it for you to listen to will arrive in the mail! If you are interested, just reply to this thread with answers to the above questions and we'll organize it from there. We'll accept people until Saturday, December 17th 2005. The final details of everyone's trade will be give the day afterwards.

Yeah atrain, I guess Adsense has the ability to geo-target. It's really amazing what they've done with that service lately. Obviously the forum has grown accordingly with the success. I run out of ideas, though..so I try to make it look hip. I'll have to show you Google Analytics as well. Human: I can neutralize it steadfast, but I'm giving it a day to see how it goes.

Seems like Shopzilla is taking over Google ads, I may disable it soon. Really getting tired of seeing it on both forums..
-
I think that the online installer prioritizes and downloads only what you need out of the installation.
-
Well, you come off in a funny way, Mr.
-
Human, we're just a little weary given how things are going at the T-Board. We wish not to reflect their recent social circumstances nor be a fallout center. You'll find this to be a nice community of normal people who wish to discuss the format and everything in-between accordingly. Let's all hit the peace pipe and relax here. p.s. I deleted your private message response to atrain -- he sent you that message in private and it would be more appropriate to discuss it with him or myself if necessary, not in a topic.

What about the Chaintech AV710? Cheap and powerful.
-
haha, true enough. I have alot of expectations for that software though, give it a generation or two I say. Remember where we were with Sonicstage when it debuted?
-
No, unfortunately it is not.
-
Why would you need it? We have the SS3.3 full installer in the Downloads section.
-
The only issue I have with hosting this again is that people are clueless. A random newbie will come to the forum, and read some older posts and then follow our guidance which may be outdated (such as the belief that SS3.2 is the latest) and never know better. I will see what I can do -- for now, just private message me and we can set something up. This goes for anyone.

Have you tried reinstalling via the directions in the FAQ? What are your system specs?
-
You need to talk to Sony's support about this as soon as possible, regardless if it's under warranty or not. Bother them enough and it won't matter..(of course, be nice. )
-
Welcome to the forums. Where did you get the mp3's?
-
If Sony moves forth into a more professional realm for Hi-MD, I doubt that we'll ever see the optical in removed.
-
Sorta off topic, but can you make a backup of a SS database, import that on another computer, and employ it normally?
-
Well Archivist, I think your inital point is a good one -- not everyone has access to a computer (although I suspect that number is dropping steadfast each passing year, I reckon) to facilitate music transfer. The whole prospect of realtime recording other than a live recording situation is becoming less and less viable as we move forth into an era where computers are everywhere.

That my Sony Vaio TX isn't here. I want it NOW!!!!!!!!

Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in News
For some reason I'm really thinking about getting one, just to say I have a portable music player with 305Hr battery life. -
No problem..happy holidays.
-
Hi friend, please state your system specs according to the rules. Sounds like you might need to update your Windows, or run the MDAC utility found in the Downloads section.
-
Perfect, akijikan. Continue discussion at ATRACLife, please.

Keep it civil, guys. Remember the intent of the topic and what we're trying to accomplish here.
