Yup, I have the NF610. Don't do any mic recording with it. I use my R900 or NHF800 for that. :-)

For most music I use Custom: +3 +2 +2 +1 +2 +3 on EX71's with NHF800 +2 +2 0 +1 +3 +3 on Pana HJE50's with the same unit Sometimes I'll swith to the Jazz setting or Unique when I want a little more mid. Mostly I like bass.

I don't know what is harder on the unit but I would use the 600D as a workhorse unit and save the wear and tear on the 910.

I can confirm that. I have the 37LT and the 39LT tuner remotes. They work to control my older units but you really have to jam the remote plug into the port on the MD unit. I would be afraid that using it would cause damage in the long run. Plus the screen does not even work. For the 600D I would recomend the 33EL, 35EL or 40ELK remotes (I own both the 33EL and 40ELK). With the later being the best suited for it. The tuner remotes are only really designed to work with the G750, NF610 and NHF800. I have the NF610 and NHF800.

Yes, I had that problem with SS 3.0. That's what prompted me to install SS 3.2. It is fixed now. What I actually think happened was the permissions in my firewall got messed up. I had upgraded my firewall just before the problem occured. The fact that my firewall recognized SS 3.2 as a new program and had me setup the permissions for it up again is what I think fixed it.

Thanks for the suggestions doctorfrog. The reason I don't have music on my computer is because I copy CD's from CD deck to MD deck. I really did not have the hard drive space to spare on music. I just upgraded though. I found a few places that have some good stuff. I downloaded close to 600 megs last night.

I did this via optical out on my DVD player and it would be more headaches than what it was worth. Because of the 48 khz vs. 44 khz the timing would be off or something like that. Sometimes a CD would copy just fine other times I would get wierd track marks everywhere or strange artifacts in the recording. I finally broke down and just bought a CD deck with optical out and never had problems ever since.

SonyStyle stores? There is one in RI, I know that for sure. You should be able to go to the Sony Style website and find out if there is one near to you.

Try a sony store??? I don't think the 40ELK is available to us US based customers without going online. I might be wrong though.

To be honest I do not know but I really do not think it will work since a Universal USB audio driver is need for the mic to work and MD is not equiped to handle that.

Yes, it has 7 weather band channels and VHF channels 2-13, audio only of course. So far I have not been able to hear anything on the weather bands. The TV channels come in loud and clear for my local, over the air, broadcast channels.

I thought this limitation was removed with SS 3.2?

Yup, just stay away from discs with plastic shutters and Memorex and you will be fine. I did have a bad experience with the standard Fuji blanks (the black ones) also. None of my Sony units could read them. After formatting in my Sharp unit they worked but I will probably never buy those again.
