Nope, most chargers are just activated by timers. That is unless they have a built in conditioner.

You mean like an external battery pack that holds 4 AA's? If you can't find one you could easily make one with parts from Radio Shack and next to no soldering skills. I have not looked, but I seriously doubt the parts would cost more than $10 minus the soldering iron.

I use my Hi-MD as a storage device at work. It has no Hi-MD drivers installed and is recognized just fine.
-
Yes, it's recognized as another drive under Win XP. No driver needed.

Half live recording and half playback for me.

Technically 7 but actually 6. I have: Aiwa AM-F80 MZ-R900 MZ-NF610 MZ-E80 MDS-JE330 deck MZ-NH600D (technically sold, but still in my posession) MZ-NHF800 (UPS still has it in one of it's trucks somewhere between my house and California) :-D (I was corrected by the person that sold it to me. It's on a plane that just left Oakland, CA) I have also owned: MZ-1 MDS-101 deck MZ-R500(x2) Aiwa HX-30 MZ-N510 (x2) MZ-E40 Sharp MD-MT170

The Service Packs are cumulative so you can install SP2 without having SP1 installed. I had the problem above when going to SP1. I ended up reinstalling everything just to start with a fresh install. If things on your system are so messed up I would recommend starting with a clean slate. It would make things a lot easier.

I have used my N510 and R900 with the Tape output on a Mackie mixer. I can't remember the model but it was a small 16 channel mixer with the built in effects. I have also used them on Peavy and Behringer (SP?) mixers.

I have both the EX71's and the Pana's JE50's. The sound is almost the same with the Pana's being a little bassier and the EX71's being just a tad bit clearer on the high frequency side of the spectrum. Comfort wise, on my ears, the EX71's win hands down. As far as build quality I see the pana's as a bit more sturdier in the actual earpeice housing but the cable seems less sturdy than the EX71's. I definitely use the EX71's more than the Pana's because of the comfort factor.

Yes, I'll take 10 of the lamps. I mean UFO's. They remind me of the TDK HO's for some reason.

My moto is if it ain't broke don't fix it. Well yours broke and Sonic Stage is at version 3.2. I would recommend upgrading to the latest version before anything.
-
If I remember correctly it has a Cirus Logic Chip (CS8405A) that's 96KHz. So their is going to be some conversion down to 44.1. I found the datasheet for that chip: http://www.cirrus.com/en/pubs/proDatasheet/CS8405A_F2.pdf and a review at Dan's Data: http://www.dansdata.com/xitel.htm

Not exactly. The MZ-S1 has an orange backlight. Other than that I don't think the 520 has a backlight either. At least it does not mention it in the MD browser or any of the specs I could dig up on it.

Problems with NH1 turning off during recording
KrazyIvan replied to not worth asking's topic in Minidisc
I agree with veezhun. My R900 started doing this and it turned out to be the tired and worn original Ni-MH. I replaced it with a new battery (fully charged) and have not had the problem since. -
If you can do without unlimited uploading then why fix something that isn't broken? I used 2.0 for quite a while after 3.0 was out. I upgraded to 3.0 when I found I could not do something I wanted to do. I am still on 3.0. I'll upgrade when it breaks or I really feel that 3.2 has something I need.

Like bland10000 said, I don't think that even if Sony kills the format tomorrow I will be switching soon. I have enough MD units to be set for some time. I still beleive media will be available for some time. Maybe not the collector stuff but you can still go to Wal-Mart and buy a 5 pack color collection MD's. Heck you can still buy blank cassette tapes. I sm good for the time being. I may go on eBay and get some units that I have always wanted just to add to the collection.

Yes, the NHF800 has a radio tuner remote.

Units: MZ-NH600D, MZ-E80, MZ-NF610, MZ-R900, JE330 deck Daily use: listening to music at work connecting to powered speakers. Recording live events every week for my church via R900 line in and line out on mixer. Recording CD's to MD (SP @ 292 kbps) on my deck for use in portable units at work Favorite use: Recording live sessions then being able to edit on the spot without having to rely on any other gear. Professional Use: Recording practice sessions Request: Keep MD/Hi-MD alive and kicking! Future units with line and mic-in. Get rid of the cheesy plastic players! Go for quality build.

These have been sold.
-
Well, that's a bummer. I may just keep them. I already have a set but I may keep them as a backup. If someone makes me a decent offer I'll consider it. EDIT: I will consider trades also.
-
Just got that one myself. I am really diggin' it.
-
Nobody interested? Okay. I'll give it until Wednesday before I put it on eBay.
-
Okay, that's good in a way since I am not "really" krazy after all.
-
I have these buds brand new, never been used, still in the box. Just wanted to see if anyone is interested in them. PM me please. I am thinking about $25 plus shipping.

I have found a lot of good stuff at Tranceaddict.com http://www.tranceaddict.com/singles.php Yeah I know it is not industrial, but a lot of people that like industrial like trance.
