Some Sony car decks let you use a device called Connect2 which plugs into your RH1 and into the car deck, lets your car deck control the MD unit, they are getting hard to find, but it is worth the trouble if you can. If not, the 1/8 to 1/8 cable works well. Bob

Keep on looking for an NH700 or 800, they can be had relatively cheaply, have Mic inputs and will digitally upload, any Net MD will be likely to have head ribbon problems, and you will lose recordings. Bob

In any sort of real world use the nois is not heard, only if you have one of the T mics plugged directly into the unit. For me the advantages of MD far outweigh the disadvantages. Bob

Any electronics type store should have universal adapters. Bob

A 910 will not digitally upload, you will need Hi-MD, RH1 is your best choice Bob

The biggest advantage of Hi-MD is the ability to digitally upload what you have recorded, as well as more capacity, if I were me I would get the 800 over the 600 because of the mic input, and slightly better quality of construction. Have fun Bob
