  1. you need to download the new version often, it's a poor software becoming better, bit by bit. i update every time there's a new version even though i barely use SS anymore.

    Us Rh10 Colors

take a look at this thread silvadragon http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showt...371&hl=vanished
  3. that page isn't about drivers really, the programs for md are windows based. it's more about workarounds or using virtual PC. is this a program you have?
  4. rh910 would be my recomendation. latest [2nd] gen of himd, digital uploads from mic recordings, takes 1 gig discs so much longer recording time. 170ish on froogle, far cheaper than the model it replaces. http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=rh910&...=Search+Froogle my other main recommendation is the sony rh710, similar to the one above but on import only http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=rh710&...=Search+Froogle anyway stay away from models with a 'D' designation like dh710 as this indicates a downloader with only usb input.
  5. that kenwood is a rebadged dr80. exactly the same specs.
  6. all the virtual pc/ss users have reported significantly slower speed than on similar pcs. try 3.1 but be happy that you can at least use your netmd, something many mac users have problems with.
  7. nice pics B, good to see over on the blue side too, keep on comming back.
  8. also what colour is the case? does it have all crazy lights & shit on it?
  9. congratulations on the bloodless coup
  10. i get it "you know nothing... nothing!" <img src="http://andrewcoyne.com/Images/Schultz.jpg">
  11. it's all subjective. i find lp2 on eggos fine, esp for use on public transport or through a car stereo, both situations where there is a bit of background noise. unless you have a decent system or very keen ears 256 should be comparitive with the original cd. my advice is to play around with all the options in situations similar to where the majority of your use will take place, then work out what trade offs you're willing to make for space.

great that's the sort of feedback i was looking for. as for hair bump i'm shaved at 1/4 inch all over & will be for awhile. i think i'll get 'em.
  13. what version of sonictage are you using? what leads me to believ the mds dying is that you couldn't record from a line in. check again that line in isn't working.
  14. just to confirm you will have to transfer in real time to the pc & use some sort of sound recording program like soundforge or audacity to capture the audio.
  15. wink, sefu, zath any guide on pricing? sony's done well to drop the prices on the new models in the US & europe, really like to see inline pricing for australia too. sony's marketing dept would do well to read parts of this thread.
  16. sounds like the optical block that writes the audio data on the disc is finished. it may well be the end of your n707 i'm sorry. my advice is to save up for a new unit as repairing older netmds can be as or more expensive than buying new & akin to plugging the dyke with a finger.
  17. don't the md33 come with a little 4->3 converter?
  18. it depends which delivery it is. the japan model has what looks like a 35elk, an updated version of the 11elk with extra lines, more buttons. the us & european version comes with a non-lcd stick remote like the one shipped with low-end netmds in the past. as a remote user i'd skip that if i was you. the japan model also gets a charging stand.
  19. it seems to be a bit of a lost unit. no one including kurisu seems to know too much about it. although you'll be in luck as it apears to be euro only to start with & may even be an rh710, ie. some in puts rather than pure downloader.
  20. wow same price as at amazon.com not too bad at all. just can't decide between a hd1 or a nwe407 - a little odd that they're the same price on ebay right?
  21. i would imagine that most of the functions would work. the standard play, pause, ff &c. should all be fine & i'd say the display should give you info.
  22. there is a batch converter as a standalone from www.connect.com only does the atrac3+ bitrates tho, not the atrac3 all the same i'd shie away from using SS as a jukebox. a little silly but i'd use winamp/foobar as the primary player & reserve SS for transfer duty alone. the small extra time spent converting & transferring is payed back by ease of use in other programs...

hey guys i'm looking at purchasing a pair of audio technica ath-a500s http://www.audiocubes.com/product_info.php...ate_banner_id=1 & i'm looking for some user feedback from people who own or owned them. i'll probably buy a pair of non canal buds from the too. i'm looking for reviews of all round use, not just sound alone, so any issues with build quality, driving problems, odd sound signatures. i'll be using them as a semi portable, that is train, home, car passenger &c. not too concerned about heat build up as my attention span is only about 30-40 mins anyway before i'll take a break. i'll probably order through bluetin as thier price in au$ is the same as audiocubes' in us$ just to confirm that is the a500 not ad500 http://www.bluetin.com/headphones/headphon...ca_ath-a500.htm au$138
  24. try tandy or camping & travel stores. should be under 10quid, they are quite small.
  25. user controled rom updates have never been released before afaik
