How long does SonicStage take to load of your computer?
mercury_in_flames replied to mercury_in_flames's topic in Software
defragging my external hard disk makes a big difference on my computer. When I do a disk drive test i get 25000kb/s with a defragged drive and if ive got about 20 gigs worth of fragmentation in big chunks then i get about 13000kb/s. -

people who have the money to buy a 42 inch bravia tv. -
I have my hotmail spam filter set to exclusive, so that anyone not on my address book or safe list, gets sent to the bulk mail box. I never give my address to any untrustworthy sites. But with my yahoo address thats another story. That thing has got the weakest spam filter I've ever come across. Anything with a subject that looks like this: £$£$%^*&*(*%^£" comes through and theres nothing you can do about it because the address gets changed every single time,. lol. As far as space goes, yahoo wins hands down, it has something like a gig of space, and a 10 mb attatchment limit, unlike hotmails 1 mb i believe. I guess if you keep your email address to yourself and out of dodgy sites then you should be safe, but once those pesky spammers have your address, you can kiss a spam free in box goodbye.

ahh i see. Both of mine are more than a year old and both hotmail.com try a hotmail.com address? Make a new one and see what happens if you can be bothered
-
how old is the older one and the newer one?
-
yep, there is no way I'd ever pay hotmail for a bigger in box lol yeeep I've had my hotmail accounts for over a year and they work fine with outlook express All you do is open outlook express, go file, new account, and just make ur account by giving outlook express your password, ur email address and thats it. I prefer it to going on the internet to check my email because I dont have to enter passwords, or fiddle with any web browser. I just click 'switch identity' and im on my other account. Obviously for custom spam filters and the rest I have to edit that stuff using the web version, but my accounts are ok atm.

there are different types of cd's. There are dvd discs and cd discs. No dvd disc can be written at 48x, those discs you saw were cd's. You can use any speed dvd discs that have the 'dvd+r' logo, although they will only write as fast as your burner is able to. If the burner is a 16X DVD BURNER then it will be able to write CD'S at 48x and DVD+R discs at 16x as long as those speeds are written on the disc. If the cd says 1-48x compatible, that means your writer can write at speeds between 1 and 48x, the same applies with dvd+r discs (they could say 1-4x or 1-8x or 1-16x) comprende? dude you seriously need to read up on this stuff. there are different types of cd's. Ever Print Your Own Disc Labels?

I've made the odd few but cant really be bothered with it. -
that my external drive cant reach its spec'ed 16x dvd writing speed only 12x.
-
every planet we reach is dead-gorillaz
-
Have you installed the drivers for it?
-
it will make you need to replace the pads thats for sure.
-
haha speaking of starbucks I bought myself a Grande Hot chocolate with whipped cream from them today yum

it probably only burns at 8x because the computer isnt powerful enough to send the data to the drive fast enough. The fastest I have managed ti burn a regular dvd at is 12x. To burn at 16x you would need a VERY good hard disk, good processor, and at least a gig of ram i woudve thought. I've given up on trying to write at 16x. Despite the name being 'dual layer' in normal peoples terms, there arent two 'sides' to the disc, the laser just focuses one way for the first coating of the disc and another way for the second half to write the data.
