metal, thanks for sharing pictures of the EH-50. The sparkly walkman logo is somehow attractive. Like to colour co-ordinated white remote. Did the blue case come with it too ? How do you find the controls on the back of the unit? Are they easily activated by mistake, I suppose you could just put them into the hold mode and use the remote instead.

My desktop has 6 USB ports and three of them have Sony cables; this DH10P type, the standard minidisc type and the NWA1000 type.

Could he use a remote with the minidisc? With the unit in his coat pocket and wires running down his sleeve.

I used to worry about the number of MD units I have but as I haven't reached double figures yet, I can put that off for another couple of years.

Some members of this forum can stop at one minidisc unit but the rest of us seem to be accumulating as many as possible. The worst thing is making up feeble excuses to get another like my "I need another unit that uses an LIP-4WM battery". I've got to admit to myself that I really just like collecting the damn things.

Congratualtions on your EH1. I thought I read somewhere that a DC6V 800mAmp charger would charge the battery a little bit faster than a DC6V 500mAmp charger. Anyone know if this is true ?

You should be able to as the NH1,EH1,NH3D & DH10P all use the same battery & require a 6V 800mAmp power adaptor. The RH1 uses the same battery but a different power adaptor- same as the NWA1000/3000. My DH10P came from the US with the AC-ES608K3 power adaptor @ 120volts. I tried to get the Australian 240volt version but was told it was now discontinued. But was advised to use AC-ES608K (which comes with MZ-NH1)as a replacement which worked fine. Both adaptors have the same connector and should plug into either cradle without any problem. Over here the ES608K (with the black label) is a little bigger and nearly twice the price of the ES608K3 (with the silver label)

Nice pics Richyhu. Thanks for sharing it with us. I bet tbr is sorry he sold his. The cradle looks like a printer when photographed by itself. I take it that the EH1 has to be charged via the cradle and doesn't have a DC socket on it ?

Yep, Something like the RH1 in a metallic bluish black with a colour display like the DH10P. Till then there's your pictures of the RH1.

Ishiyoshi, Yet again fantastic pictures. Look forward to seeing the results of your interbreeding program between the RH1 & RH10/NH1. Looks like the RH1 uses the same USB-Ac Power adaptor as the NWA1000/3000 instead of inventing another new one.

Very good closeups for for something that is not primarily a camera. You can see clearly that the CX300 uses a mesh rather than a pinhole like the EX71/51s. Thanks for the review. The note about the hiss is a bit disconcerting, is it because they are very sensitive ? I was wondering whether to go for the black or silver but after seeing your stylish black ones I think they are the way to go.

Makes me realise how good Minidisc Australia's NH900 bundle was at $199AUD. And it included ten 80min MDs with the Sony HiMD carrying case.

Quite right. It has been around for over a year and now this price drop has made it more affordable. If only SONY had originally released them at these sort of prices. I bought it mainly for the novelty of the colour (sorry USA: color) screen 'cause I like the idea of having my cover art displayed.

Being red it should go faster and so may reduce battery life I thought that too. It didn't look like the standard silver finish. Wouldn't be surprised to see it turn up in one of Ishiyoshi's awesome pictorials. The more colours the better, with colour co-ordinated top ends not just black.

As I posted previously the DH10P & NW-HD5 but use the same AC adaptor - AC-ES608K3. So if the NW-HD5 player was released in your country you should be in luck. If you're in doubt check the service manuals here and @ ATRACLife for the part numbers. In the 2nd last page under accessories

All black - looks like it means business. If they are going to do a silver one why not make it all silver including the top OLED display area, with a silver remote and earphones. SONY are probably saving that for a limited Japan Style only version.
