Visited a Different Hardoff today , had permission from the wife that if I found anything irrefutable , that I could get it . Came home with #1 : A Black , Les Paul Studio 1993 with a partially broken headstock , for 35,000 yen ( warranty card was in the case ) #2 : A Sony MZ-R910 , Blue , in pretty good shape , missing Power supply and cradle , but has remote , phones, case. 1,890 yen .(and YES it works!!!!) #3 : A Sony MZ-E800 Player , with cradle , power supply ,Remote etc , 2,520 yen . It works perfectly . My Les Paul looks just like this one , same year Not a bad day , I will have the Paul fixed in no time , easy repair .

Floppy isnt Magneto Optical , it is Magnetic Binary Imprint , and if you get near a magnetic field , poof its gone . Zip Drive is MO based but true MO is MO Drives , and MD both of which are MO based . Be careful with the floppies

I have an 821 , and a few other Sharps ( one even has Dolphins molded into the casing , very cool) what you want is 5 volts 1 amp max . A Sony 4.5 volt will work fine ( Mine is hooked to one now) so get one of the adapters for a Sony portable CD player . For longevity out , I made a Battery pack with a battery holder for AA 's and the proper sized cable and a project box, ( all that should be at Radio Shack) 4 AA pack with Rechargeables 1.2 volts x 4 = 4.8 volts and works fine , the Sanyo 2700 ma work best for me.

NMHD batteries when taken to completely dead , will not recharge , LithIon isnt as bad . but NiCads , an NmHD when completely dead go thru a chemical reaction and the nodes inside the battery crystalize . Buy a new battery

Line in is what you do , but set your preference in Audacity , ( Stereo ,Mono,Bit Rate , Sample rate etc. ) then you export prefs when you finish recording , then "File" Export" Save as " .... > MP3 will require the Lame plugin , I have LAME 3.97 on mine , there are several types of the Lame codec available on the net , Unknown to many is the Audacity will use most of them , I have tried it , there were only two that did not work . I am on a Mac . Unix sortof !!!

No you do not have to record in LP mode , in the menues you choose the record mode , SP , Lp2 , LP4 If your using a portable player that doesnt do LP , then select the SP mode for recording , that way it will play in the portable as well as the deck . Dont know about the remotes for the decks , I would assume ( which is a dumb thing to do ) that the remotes are system specific, in other words each deck will have functions that will only be available thru he proper remote . On Portables , the same issue applies , The 40elk is probably the coolest remote for MD , but it doesnt work with older MD units and on the units it does work with there are different functions . Whereas the Remote for the Unit in question , will access certain functions that will NOT be available on others.

yeah I tried to tell you that he battery is something you would have to order , and there is no way for me to test the charging circuit on the E10 , so it is a bit of a risk , ... I am not really sure I would want you to risk it unless your sure , if it doesnt charge , you would be out of money and I would feel bad . To send to France would be about 2,300 yen ( I just sent one ) . so Think about it carefully before you commit on this one , I am just the messenger . If you feel you are sure you can change the battery yourself , then ok I will pick it up for you , when you send money . But I will need your email and other info first , talk about that later .

(If there wasnt anything other than water involved) maybe even a week , then try it with just a power supply .
