Garde ton trésor puisque les prix montent
-
He preferred to send you his collection without the cases to loose some weight and maybe he lost them a long time ago. That is a very common way to store old MDs. Put them like that in a drawer or a big carton box and then forget them a long time (long enough for a sil... good archeology cogitation)..
-
Do you see something on your MD board or try another headphone ?

If I understand well, SoX is also for the upsampling And as such, be used as a plugin in foobar2000 to upsample all audio files during the listening BEFORE the sound is sent to the 24-96 (or more) DAC. Some guys in forums tell that this the only way to control HOW / BY WHAT the upsampling is done. A french guy's setting (24-96 DAC) MDietrich, what is your experience with foobar2000 + SoX + Creative USB HD soundcard ?
-
SoX I have it in my foobar2000 components and in my active components but NOT in my active audio file right clik menu (like Replaygain). I see also in the Ctrl+P settings DSP manager window that you can use it for upsampling and downsampling but only for "frequencies" (kHz), no 24 to 16bit or 16 to 24bit setting. It look like a mess to set up for beginners. Does I miss something ? What are the steps to convert a list of 24-96 files to 16-48 ? What are the settings for a high quality conversion ?

Please be more specific Sonicfields, give us direct links

DFX 11 setup itself as a soundcard with the real one. So you can use it with Sonic Stage for listening and recording (in real time), ergo with your Net-MD or Hi-MD players.

Is SoX able to convert a list of files ?

When I bought it, the RH1 looked like this : The binder was there because of false contacts. Then I put on it a sticky fur (removed last year with the help of some Zippo fluid), it was called "Marsupilami". Jim Hoggarth repaired it already completely.

I and phamcu, we are living in Vietnam. The best is to have someone we knew coming in Vietnam from Canada who could take it for you. This is nor rare at all. Just wait. You will have to pay me shipping at this time. netmduser Third reservation

so ther will be soon 1000 units in stock to sell for this israeli RH1 a strange thing, like this one in France : http://www.ebay.fr/itm/LOT-DE-30-MINIDISC-80-MIN-MD80-FNAC-NEUF-MADE-IN-JAPAN-/261313258898?pt=FR_Image_son_Autres&hash=item3cd77be592 who sold already his "30 Fnac MD blanks" from... years
-
RH1 : a huge investment just for uploading your MDs... good enough if you still wait some years to get this doing
-
Skate and MD are not well together, specially when you don't close your pocket. What ! I am wrong, it were surfing and lost your waterproof MD bag. Nag, nag, you satellized your MD during a forward loop with your bike.
-
I try to imagine some configurations as it have an optical in : 1) I suppose (hope) this is possible to use it as a DAC between a CD player and a MD recorder once you have connected it to a USB wall charger or your PC 2) or PC ----> card ----> MD via tosllinks
-
No new sofware. The best to do is to use a good sound card (external for a laptop) with an optical input (Toslink) if you have a MD deck. If you only have a portable MD unit, just a good minijack to minijack cable. If you are lucky, the Sony MZ-RH1 is the only one with complete uploading features.

Yes it look like. But where is your location ?

Ok, that is fine. I was not aware of this wiki-like benchmark site, and the other one too. I am now ready to buy an audiophile USB audio soundcard. Naturally as I has gotten some experience with my two previous Creative X-Fi sound cards (Platinum, Xmod), I am now very curious about that "HD" external sound card. 1) Why for you this card is just decent : would you do another choice today ? I don't have a lot of choice in Vietnam (computer shops have basic audio sound cards, "high-end" audio shops have 400$ or more DACs). This address is for example to only one I have discover from now with a rather wide choice, including pro cards (sometime with no proper Windows 7 drivers) : http://www.sam-pc.com/home (1.000.000 VND = 46,7US$) 2) "It has a fantastically jitter free optical output" : how do you know that (audio rightmark test?) and what does it change for your ears ? Is it better to take this Creative HD USB soundcard rather than a M2Tech Hiface 2 for example ? 3) Even if you did not install the software and his DSPs, are you still connected with his USB or are you using a simple Toslink optical cable between your computer and the card (I am merely curious to know if there is or not a big difference in sound)

Jim Hoggarth is your friend, contact him

I am not using right now my Creative X-Fi Platinum. I am aware of that 24-96 to 24-44,1kHz downloading. Like you I love the MD format and can't be too pretentious about its audio quality compared to those new high quality rates. But why have you bought a Creative X-Fi USB HD rather than any USB audio card ? DFX and 24-96 : all depend on the gender of the music. I test on/off during listening, my ears decide (3/4 tracks with DFX). I also use Replaygain to all my music library so I don't have that much distorsion. With the Creative X-Fi Platinum, I was connected to my JB980 with a coaxial cable and all my recent recordings have been done without DFX (Crystallizer and DFX, this is too much). DS (DFX dislike Wasapi with foobar2000) : The only Windows 7 64bit setting I have done is to cut off Windows system sound. Something else ? Does JRiver supported Flac files and fine settings with Wasapi or Asio4all ?

A great brainstorming just for the acquisition of maximum a 30$ unit. We are damned...
