yes. i actually measured it several times when transferring a whole album in fake sp as lp2 mode. at takes 1.6 times real time speed

if you were to guess on a timeframe. how long do you think it will be before there will be any version of this real sp transfer software for windows users. i cant wait to try it.

for sony net md units the "fake sp" transfer speed is actually about 1.6 times realtime which is at least better than one times speed when done over optical transfer. it is also nice to have th track titles transferred too so they dont have to be entered manually.

that would be the best thing i ever heard. i will make a donation if the software could do that. i am sure many people would use it a lot!

can we upload standard sp tracks recorded from any type of unit?

i have a pioneer pdr-509 cd recording deck that i use for transferring cd to md in sp. it passes the gapless trackmarks when i need to. i was refering to copying mp3s from the pc to the md in sp mode. you are correct its no good for albums like pink floyd the wall where one track ends at the very beginning of the next.

i had that problem too just use winamp with the wincue download. it pauses the winamp program between tracks which forces a track mark then it starts back up for the next song.

you can digitally upload your pcm recordings thru the usb that are made from the nh-600. this way you can uplaod pcm with the track marks. you dont need to go the headphone analog route. after the upload you can choose save as wave and burn a standard audio cd.

its because you deleted the original mp3. ss uses it for a reference for copyright issues. maybe the original mp3 is in the recycle bin.

lp4 only sounds good if its recorded on the unit itself from the analog input. recordings from ss are terrible. for lp4 only i even think the analog input on the unit sounds better than the digital input. the digital in sounds better for sp and lp2.

the answer to your first question about which units transfer fake sp the fastest. is to find some of the older sharp units i believe they had a 4x speed transfer for fake sp...

i have a mz-n510 and i thing its very easy to use and the battery lasts a long time. i really like the sound!

dont do it the md data disks use a totally different laser!. it will never work!

the rh1 will transfer faster than all of the other units. its the only usb 2.0 unit

does the new version include the drivers for the sony decks that was not in the previous install?

i have the software and i wanted to warn everyone to lower the volume level on winamp to 75% because if you dont the level meters will clip after the software alters the sound when using the digital output from the pc

get a mz-n510 it hos excellent sound and very reliable button operation. i think my mz-n707 sounds better but the buttons dont work properly on the two units i have.

why is there no choice to listen at 192k i use it all the time. it sounds much better than lp2

an old sp deck will edit fake sp tracks downloaded from sonic stage!

i had lots of lp2. i couldnt take it anymore and deleted them all and re-recorded them all in sp. happy ears!

if your main concern is sound quality then i would not even be thinking about lp2 it is not hi quality! for the best quality i recommend getting a deck that records sp in type-r and hook the digital out directly to your reciever. this will produce the best sound. thats how i have mine hooked up at home. you will be impressed. you can then also make sp recordings from the digital in from your regular cd players digital out which will also automaticly mark the tracks for you. sp type-r is awesome!

rebooting should solve the problem.

if the meter made a beep noise the the ribbon cable is not broken. maybe the head is in the wrong position. take a few more pictures and uplaod them so we can take better look.

if you have a choice get the Teac MD-5MKII. it has mdlp!

dude i wish i had money for it i really wanted one of these like 10 years ago. now i just record the radio off my md boom box but it only has one disk.
