use hi-md renderer instead.

there are sharp md portables that have 4x transfer of fake sp mode. you wont get true sp but . you will be able to play it on any md machine and you will have track titles.

if you keep a copy of sonic stage on a burned cd it might erase itself in 10 years or less. you should also keep a second backup copy on a flash drive. just to be safe.

its in the toolbox icon in the transfer window.

i need about 100 of the standard md's how much for a hundred of them? i think about $50 sounds fair.

you can just use hi-md rendered in the md mode to upload your recordings by analog means with titles and track marks intact! i use it all the time.

why would you want them? they all sound terrible.

the unit you have has a variable record position. what they call "from here" and another setting called "from end" are you sure you did not overwrite the beginning of your first recording.

you should not get a duplicate file as long as when you initally convert the mp3' to .oma's you set the bit rate to lp2 132k this should transfer directly without reconverting next time. under transfer settings choose transfer "as is"

that is very strange

if you are also transferring data to the disks and not just music you should always eject it from the computer. if you use it just for music then it should be ok just to push stop and pull the cord out.

what version of ss directly supports .m4a files? i didnt know they were supported at all.

its analog but the hi-mdrenderer works very well. i use it all the time.

you cant get sp recordings with simple burner.

doesnt the 980 deck have a seperate driver?

dude just do it on the unit! push play then pause then the fast forward button then hit the track mark button. this will remove the track mark. then push fast forward again then hit the track mark button again. this will remove the next track mark. keep doing this until all 47 are done. you can do th whole disk in 5 minutes with no problem... easy problem solved!

i have had several bad maxell disks with metal shutters they were from the color collection. the metal shutters fall off all the time anytime they feel like it. the recordings were fine . i just left the shutters off on some of the disks. they work ok with out them

if you use sonic stage you cannot record in true sp. you only get lp2 132k quality padded up to sp292k so your old machines will play it. if you want the best quality you must make th recording on the unit and set it to record in sp mode. use the computer and sonic stage for titling the sp disks and to transfer in lp2 132k mode. lp2 might sound good enough and you may not notice the difference. it is much easier to use sonic stage.
